St. Peter has been producing beats and sewing projects together for a few years with his Wu-Tang afillations, Building music for Hell Razah, Shabaaz The Disciple, Daddy Rose, Vendetta Kingz and many more. Unbutton Your Holsters is Kevlaar 7's 30-track appetizer before the main course as he plans on releasing his first solo album Die Ageless later this year. As a member of the Wisemen and brother of Wu-Elements Bronze Nazareth, Kevlaar 7 is already a well-respected artist in the undeground hip hop scene. With this double-CD, he shows and proves he's a force to be reckon with both on the mic and on the boards. Still, some elite emcees and producer such as Inspectah Deck, Solomon Childs, 12 O'Clock, Hell Razah and his bother and the rest of The Wisemen show up to bring this mixtape to the next level. While disc one is strickly original production, the second disc, sees Kevlaar 7 and his crew throwing darts on some of today's best producers tracks like DJ Premier, The Neptunes, Kanye West and others.
Wu-Affiliated producer/emcee, and brother of Bronze Nazareth, Kevlaar 7 has been making his name known throughout the true-skool underground for the last few years. Also a member of the group Wisemen (IHipHop Distribution), he delivers thoughtful and soulful lyrics, and his lyrical talent only seems to get better with time. In this project, Kevlaar decided to focus more on his vocals, allowing other producers to craft their soundscapes around him. The result is a deep, funky ride, with beatsmiths such as Bronze Nazareth, Paragone, Endemic, and others. Special guests include Merc Versus, William Cooper, Bronze Nazareth, among others.
King Just is a Staten Island legend. He was one of the first to came out of Shaolin with a solo album and his single Warrior's Drum blew up big time. Mystics Of The God is now considered a classic, but this is not the easiest album to find. However Jam On Productions and Chambermusik just solved this problem. No Power On Earth is the answer. This Double CD album contains the original remastered version of Mystics, but with new bonus tracks. The second CD is the longer version of the rare album No Power On Earth. KJ is one of the dopest MCs to ever hit the mic and now you have the chance to have his rare classic album with some bonus tracks and an even rarer album with once again bonus tracks and the best part is that the money is going in KJ's pockets, not in those greedy ass label owners.
Krumbsnatcha made his fame back in the 1990's as part of the legendary Gangstarr Foundation. Mentored by the late Guru of Gangstarr, he debuted on the classic album "Moment of Truth", and went on to perform on many recordings with Guru as well as albums under his own name. Hailing from Massachusetts, he is also a member of the W.O.L.V.E.S. crew, thus the moniker of "Golden Wolf". Recently joining up with the Wu-Tang Management team, he is now affiliated with Wu-Tang as well, and this is his first outing as such. This album represents his resurrection as "King Solomon" back from the Hip-Hop "Dead", as well as his first project since Guru's unfortunate passing last year. Featured on this record are Dungeon Masta (Wu-Tang), Black Jesus (Gangstarr Foundation/Wu-Tang), DJ JS-One, Hectic, Nuborn, Lex Boogie and none other than Guru himself on two tracks. Production comes from the likes of Thorotracks, Nickel Plated, G-Clef da Mad Komposa, and more.
