Sophomore albums can be risky. It’s fiddly business trying to outdo your previous effort. But at the very least you have to match it. On “Poisonous Poets, Murderous Melodies”, the man who brought us “School Yard Funk Art” and “1st Amendment” returns with his New York cronies to attempt just this. Though not heavy on Wu affiliated involvement (namely the OTF crew), there’s no shortage of likeable material.
